ive only had one blk dye drop for me, cant remember when i sold it for a good 7.5k. i was offering it out to my guildies first thoguh they all refused.

I've found only 2 blacks dyes so far and I both found them in pre-searing. Maybe this is anoter "urban legend" but I've always heard that when you play in pre-searing you'll have more change to get a black dye.

I got my first and only black dye after over 300 hours on my ranger, while farming grawls in Ascalon for Halloween items.

the first/only black dye drop I had was actually in pre-searing in the catacombs where you kill the 3 skeletons. I've been playing since beta and this was about 2 months ago.

900+hours, 4 complete PvE characters (1 deleted): 2 black dyes, one in pre-sear with my first char, one some weeks ago while farming in Whitman's Folly.
Around 50 uw trips (some full groups, some me and a friend, most with 3-4 people): 12 ectos.
And i got my first sup vigor 2 weeks ago from a chest in Abaddon's Mouth .

Happened to me too, like my second drop ever was a black dye which I put on my eles starter armour and decided i didnt like it so used dye remover on it LOL. I was so pissed after i found out how much they were lmao.

my second black dye was near fort ranik in post-searing. ive had SO many dyes there drop, expecially from the stone elementals. litrally, 2/3 of my dyes have dropped there.

I've gotten around 15 blacks to drop in ~1000 hours of play. I've also seen 30 or so drop for other people. I guess I have good luck, but never when I need it.

) but then.. one day 4 black dyes dropped.. 2 whih was for me.. two in rof, outside of gates of kryta, and the other i cant remember.... it totally depends on luck...

I've got 6 black dyes. I haven't sold a single one that I found yet. I just got my second account and found another dye last night. Guess I'm averaging one per month. If only I had sold some of them back when they were 40k! Curse that market crash!

i sold 3 to the trader at 26k EACH and held back the rest in case they went higher.

just before the reset and i logged out 15 MINUTES before the super cheap prices came in

Ive only been playing for about a month or so, and I got a black dye a few days ago.
